We very much enjoyed our stay. We are not all inclusive people; we do not generally eat in”tourist” restaurants, especially in Mexico. Our modus operandi is local areas. I booked this hotel from another review that said”clean resort and comfy beds.” That was right on. The hotel and our room were cleaned immaculately (thank you, Mimi! ). I would say high-quality mattresses.
I sleep with my fitbit, and frequently lightly – in a typical night in the home I get 17-35 steps just jostling in the bed at night. At this hotel, I was shocked to wake up with zero measures on my match piece most days.
Location, about 4-5 blocks from the main tourist walking street. Another couple blocks into the main/best swimming beach in Playa. It’s a little far from the Collectivo buses to other cities – on 2nd ave. Natural food market across the street, Walmart nearby also. Nice neighborhood for the most part. Local coffee and breakfast close by – but the cafe in the pictures are not there anymore.
Nice: They create free coffee in the morning which is nice. I believe unusual in Mexico – that they don’t appear to be a java culture. They leave you two bottles of drinking water every day and another beautiful touch – they’ve cold and hot drinking water in each hallway. Each day they create towel animals in your bed, like a cruise. Good A/C, especially on hot afternoons arriving at a cool area, was a relief. In-room refrigerator for milk or beer or anything. We asked for a room in the back of the hotel (away from the vegetable market across the road ) and had no noise problems. Rooms on the front had a great balcony. We used the one at the end of the hallway.
Strikes – our TV was a little spotty – mostly operating in black and white, but we were able to get the language setting to English. There are Wifi channels all around the place at the hotel, and it was great in our area but not so good from the hallways. The shower was a little hard to dial the warmth in on. People from the staff recommended me some mayan riviera fishing trips for groups. We’ll try it next time!
My Family and I arrived for one night that this year 2017. Neat. Decent. Nice Beds. As soon as you come to your bedroom check, they fill.
It’s a rather quiet hotel, but acoustics suck. You’re able to hear other people walking in and outside. Doors closing, Elevator doors opening, My baby cried a few days, and my sister heard her. There is a sign where it tells you to keep quiet, along with other guests respect that!
Nice hotel. There’s a grocery shop/restaurant directly next to the hotel (corner of 30th Ave and 20nte) Its great for Breakfast. They have typical American breakfasts and power shakes and juices. Also, it is right to say across the road”Nativo Restaurant” is also perfect for breakfasts.
